Meeting Held with Departmental Coordinators as Part of ErasmusDays!

Manisa Celal Bayar University's Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinatorship organized a general informational meeting for Erasmus Departmental Coordinators as part of the ErasmusDays events.

Speaking at the opening of the meeting, International Relations Coordinator Prof. Dr. Halil Babacan emphasized that departmental coordinators are one of the most important stakeholders in the success of the Erasmus+ Program. Prof. Dr. Halil Babacan drew attention to the importance of carrying out the internationalization process in cooperation and extended his thanks to all departmental coordinators who have always contributed to the process.

At the meeting, Erasmus Institutional Coordinator Lect. İpek Yeniay Hatipoğlu gave a comprehensive presentation featuring the Manisa Celal Bayar University Erasmus Report Card covering the years 2021–2025 and statistics related to this period.

Hatipoğlu stated that the grant of 360,000 Euros received for 2025 is the highest budget obtained by the university to date, and that a high performance was achieved with a 99% grant utilization rate in projects concluded in the last three years. She also noted that grants were received under the KA171 project for ten different countries, including the United States, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Tanzania, Japan, Kenya, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Morocco, and Tunisia. In the continuation of the presentation, information was also shared about the announcement processes for Erasmus Student Mobility for Studies, Traineeships, and Staff Mobility, evaluation criteria, and new rules that will be implemented starting in 2025.

In the second part of the meeting, during the session moderated by Lect. Dr. Ümit Hasan Gözkonan, problems encountered in Academic Recognition processes and potential solutions were discussed, and an interactive question-and-answer session was held with the participants.

At the end of the meeting, certificates of appreciation and gifts were presented to the Erasmus Departmental Coordinators and their deputies from the departments that sent the most students in the 2024–2025 academic year and departments that achieved student mobility for the first time.

In a statement made by the Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinatorship, it was expressed that the purpose of the meeting was to strengthen communication between coordinators, share best practices, and convey current developments in the Erasmus+ process.
